The Tamil version was a major hit whereas the Telugu version got a decent response. Now, the film is heading to Bollywood in remake format and it is heard that the hero of the film has been asked to shed his weight. He is Akshay Kumar. This came as a surprise because Akshay has got a lean and athlete physique but still director Murugadoss has reportedly told Akshay to lose at least seven kilos to suit the role of the army captain.
